Engine shuts down after long drive! ??

I took the car out for a run. In an instant, the car died,like lost spark and fuel pressure. Then after about 20 minutes, it starts and runs and does not happen for a while. I have a 91 z28 with a 350( Modified! ) It seems like it could be the EST overheating but it was changed out. Distibutor is kind of old but I don't know if it's that. I can't trace this problem. Could someone offer any suggestions?

Probably the fabled ignition control module in the dizzy cap. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra $ and get a Delco replacement. Knockoffs will get you on the road again, but not for long.

dont these cars have problems witht the fuel pump relays sometimes?

I would guess that something dealing with your ignition system is heating up and failing to deliver spark...

Or do what I did, put a neon light in your car that is just hooked up to the cigerate lighter. It makes people want to race you more, so no downside and it keeps you awake or atleast me.

They're GTA wheels from around 89-92. So there's a 3rd gen. site out there, Hawks, swap meets and boneyards.

Just emailed hawks to see what they offer for a set of 4. Damn, i just never noticed how good they look. I'm getin goosebumps man.
