I'm looking to purchase a 94 Beretta from a privat owner. I looked at the car today and it runs really smooth. The only problem I have is that the compressor is not kicking on. The blower is working fine but is only blowing warm air. Are there any tricks to determining if it is a bad compressor or an electrical problem? Any tips would help. Thanks.

OK. we recharged the system and still the compressor does not turn on. We checked all the fuses and they are all good. Is there a way to trick the relay into turning the system on?

If you have a test light you can jump the compressor. With the test light lead on battery+ touch the power side. This with switch it on if the ground is good. If it doesn't, with the lead still on the + terminal, touch the ground wire on the compressor, if the light lights up, the ground is good.
