The Panoz they want banned is no longer raced. The Panoz Esperante GTLM isn't that loud.

you should read the thread in one of their forums about it, they're retarded, they're never going to get anything passed because they're stupid and don't know anything about racing. if you don't like the noise, don't sleep there.

You halfwits really do have a irony deficiency don't you.
As it's time to be picky (ie this thread is 18 months old etc.) I shall correct your english. It is English as well, not American.
'genius' not genious, 'realise' not realize
3/10 see me.
Oh, patmando, they don't marry their cousins, just hump them when the dog's got a headache.

actually i wasnt being picky, its against the forum rules to post in a thread more than 3 months old. its quite annoying when tards come in here and bring up 10 old threads in a row, not saying you are one necessarily. i really could not care any less about my grammar or spelling either. its interesting actually, ive heard some arguments from prominent professors about how americans actually speak more proper English than the English do. that in actuality the english elite changed the language on purpose in the 17th or 18th century in an effort to make it sound more beautiful. which the English accent certainly is more beautiful there is no doubt about that. so its quite funny when you criticize the americans english, when there is a chance that we speak it more properly than you do. of course im not including the accents from places like kentucky, chicago, or new york, as they can not talk at all. and so your more informed, the cousin marrying group supposedly is in the kentucky and west virginia area. i dont get upset about that really, as i make fun of them myself.
as for missing the irony, i may have, but i dont really care about Le Mans. Most Americans do not. i am a fan of motorsports in general though, so i read the story anyway, it was offered up as truth by the thread starter so i just took it as that. so if you really want to make an inference into all americans through the mistake of one, then go ahead. that just shows your arrogance.
as for the world cup predictions, im just dont care enough to take it off my sig. i have hardly been posting on this forum recently. obviously they are over....
as far as this being a bad forum. you just need to look in the right areas. some of the areas are bad and full of idiots. but there are a good deal of knowledgeable enthusiasts on here. overall its better than most forums i have seen. just stay away from areas like the Evo area for example, and the cavalier and dsm. stuff like that. to many ricer fanboys in those areas.

You may have a point there. i mean it in this sense though. no one watches it, no one knows who wins it, and not many people care here really. the ALMS has races here and people do care because they are here. The racing scene here is vastly different. its just the way things have developed over here, like it or not. there is an ocean between us and it makes a difference. short track oval racing and dirt racing is far more popular than something like formula 1. most race fans in america probably couldnt name 5 formula 1 drivers. but they could probably name 25 nascar and indy drivers easily. indy racing is losing many fans here to though... partly because they went away from the short track/dirt track racers and tried to be more like F1. meanwhile nascar snapped up all of those drivers. and yes i know none of you probably think oval racing takes any skill and is stupid.... and i doubt i could persuade you otherwise. heh but if you stuck shumacher in a 850hp sprint car on a 1/4 mile dirt track he'd get his ass handed to him.

NASCAR has its moments, but i dont know a great deal about iut. one thing i do know about it is that most of the fans are from the good ol south, cousin marrying country, which makes half of my statement true at least

Just going back to the World Cup 2006 predictions, I think the Galapagos Islands will win.
And in the ultimate pursuit of quieter race cars, do you think that electric car racing will ever take off properly, possibly in California, or maybe solar-powered cars with an added 12V battery to enable the traditional wheelspins out of the pit-box :screwy:

I was thinking that something like this (http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.phototakeout.com/photosets/images/swatch-solar-car.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.phototakeout.com/photosets/imagepages/cars-0125.html&h=480&w=640&sz=42&hl=en&start=59&tbnid=jOND1Asfif1O1M:&tbnh=103&tbnw=137&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dsolar%2Bcar%26start%3D40%26gbv%3D2%26 ndsp%3D20%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa %3DN) would enable snooze-time at the track, and be a nice pretty shape as well. Then the only other improvement will be to get the retard in the commentary box to shut up as well, then we can have uninterrupted slumber when required. :nutkick::bananasmi

haha... im reading your posts and evisioning a silent indy 500. i know you didnt say that but it just popped into my head. quite frankly, that would suck. i go to it every year and half of it is hearing the cars go by. without that i wouldnt make it through the race because i usually get a little drunk the night before and dont sleep at all.

It's called "our forum is probably more popular and has more posters then your forum". :evillol: although the racing forums in particular are ghost towns, yet the rule apllies to every subforum of AF.
I'm an American. I worship Formula 1, but it was indeed hard to find it here. Most american racing fans left Indy territory because it was split up into IRL and CART in 1996, and just racing on ovals in a formula car is a sin. Now Champ Car is trying to pick up the slack, but face the facts that Indy is not what it used to be.
I honestly cannot explain the oval versus road course argument, but it's worth finding out.
