keep or sell?

Hey everyone!
Alright, well this is probably going to sound like an extremely stupid question, being posted in a Mazda 626 forum, but I need opinions from people who actually own the car.
Anyways, I have just received a 94 Mazda 626 LX from my cousin, who has moved to another country. I've been reading up about the 626, and it sounds like there is a huge problem with the transmission. Something about the cooler not being big enough, and how it needs an external cooler installed.
Alright, well I was just wondering if I should try to sell this car and buy another, or if I should keep it. Also, if you believe I should keep it, what should I do to prevent any huge repairs (I'm only 16, and don't have the money to replace the transmission often).

Sell it and never buy a Mazda again.
Although I do feel sorry for the guy who ends up buying it. Best thing would be to trade it in.
