A week ago, my car started veering to left. Assume I need an alignment. Tires are good, inflated where should be. I don't know if related, but a few days ago, when you are under 30 mph, car is really vibrating. Higher speeds you don't notice it. Any ideas what a mechanic would be checking for? thanks

you could have faulty tires. Though on the outside they appear to be OK, they could have seperated steel belts. Another possibility is a bent rim, or your rim is badly out of round and just needs to be balanced.

Move the current tire that you have on the front left and put it on the front right. See if you still veer but this time to the right. If so you found your problem.

I've got a 97 with a 3.5. Mine was doing the same exact thing. You prolly need the front linkage changed, maybe new struts too. New tires are always a plus!! Also, I had a problem with my passenger side rotor when I first got the car. Don't know what was up with that, I changed the rotors, breaks, and bleed the break lines. I've put about 70k on since I replaced all that. Both rotors are wearing evenly.
