freeplay in steering sense recall work

It's like five degrees freeplay now at TDC. The recall work was done last year. I wonder if the GM boys screwed it up?

I also have some major clunking in the front end when the wheels are turned..not CV related. probibly something else went to hell [spring strut, bushing..ect...... I had the lower control arm repaced last year.

I'll have to jack it up tomorrow

Sounds like an old school mechanical problem, loose joint in the linkage, loose rack, etc.
