Do I nned to modify parts to fir them on a b16a?

I need to know: If I were to buy an AEM Cool Air intake and some sort of Exhaust Sytem, If i will have to modify it to fit the b16a1 engine. I know that it fits the stock engine, but i don't know if it will fit the new engine.

You should just get the AEM CAI for the 2000 Si. You will have to relocate the battery to the trunk but it will work fine. If you already have the CAI for your car as it is. It should fit to.
As for the exhaust, if it's a cat back, it will fit cause it wil bolt up to the down pipe, not the header.

yeah, I got my CAI for the 99-00 si, but I didnt have to relocate the battery because I bought this expensive Stinger battery that is half the height of a normal battery. I'm having a little problem with the hood hittin the CAI, but a little banging on the webbing will take care of that.

Ok why am i hearing and seein that everyone went with the 2000 si intake system instead of the 88-91 crx si intake?? Is there any difference?

The difference is that the 88-91 Civic/CRX CAI is bent so that it goes around the batttery. And the 2000 Si CAI isn't, since the battery is located closer to the windshield.

OMG i know that man...what i'm sayin is why would u get the 2000 si one for a second gen rex? I know it will fit but i just wanna know why would u get it?

it's apparently less restricting, havent compared them side by side or anything, thats just what I hear. Maybe the bend is the culprit, or maybe there is something else.
