I was just wondering if this is a rare kit...since i've never seen one here or at any other website...

Anyway, this is my first time with a Fujimi kit, and i got to say that (at least this one) it's a really crappy kit. Bad fitment, and very poor detail, but i really like Bimmers, especially the M3 (e30 or e36) so when i saw this, i bought it instantly...besides, it was very cheap  (US $20)

http://usuarios.lycos.es/alfa147tuning/Maketas/M3_e30/proceso/001.JPG

The front bumper was very flat, so i added a lip and modified it a little bit to look like the real one. (not finished on the picture)

http://usuarios.lycos.es/alfa147tuning/Maketas/M3_e30/proceso/004.jpg

I cover the interior with some plastic sheets to hide the marks of the plastic injection.

http://usuarios.lycos.es/alfa147tuning/Maketas/M3_e30/proceso/007.jpg

After i primer the interior i realized that there was a huge gap between the chassis and the body, and the door panels sit way out of the body (it's that well said??). So i used some styrene sheets to fix it...problem solved. Btw, don't worry about the bad sanding, that will be covered with flock so it won't be visible.

We fully understand you, great progress soo far. I would suggest using that classic m3 yellow or blue.

If that is a racing kit, was there no racing interior? That kit does suck then. Nice job on starting to correct the kit. Your enlgish is fine. Keep up the great work!

id say dark metallic green, bimmers looks great in that color, or dark purple metallic

Good looking build!

I have one of these atrocities in my pile of kits. The E30 M3 is one of my favorite cars ever, but this kit has continued to repulse me. I've always wanted to see someone make a decent build of it. Looks like you're making a good start.

You got a great deal on it. On Ebay, they tend to go for +$50 USD.

For colors, my favorites on this body style have always been dark metallic grey (gunmetal), black, or red. The E30 M3 was offered in a pretty limited range of colors (Dakar Yellow wasn't availible until the E36 M3), but these three were factory options, and it looks great in any of them.

Any pictures of the included side rear-view mirrors? Are they accurate like the picture? Thanks and I'll be watching this thread...

I like it alot, you are right though, it looks like a really bad kit. you are going to do justice to it. I'd say british racing green, with 2 yellow stripes on the fender. 17"BBS mesh wheels slightly lowered.

this is going to be nice when you are done!! and your english is very good too!

Nice work! I think red (non-metallic) would look killer on this one.

Looks like you have made some good modifications to that kit, didn't look very good from the start.

I'd say paint like this, but without the sponsor decals: http://www.performancebmwmag.com/images/wallpapers/31-800.jpg

Classic M3-racing colour would look really good on this, even if you make it a street car.

Thank's a lot for the replys ;)

VTEC-DA9, the kit came with 3 different sets of side rear view mirrors. Hope this helps you:

Third kit (2) (http://usuarios.lycos.es/alfa147tuning/Maketas/M3_e30/proceso/030.JPG)

Time for an update,

I've mark the headrest line in the back of the seat, since they came flat. And i'm going to have to mark the dressmakings to look like this pic (http://m3bmw.com/gallery/interior/seats.leather.black.04.jpg).

http://usuarios.lycos.es/alfa147tuning/Maketas/M3_e30/proceso/032.JPG

The interior has been painted flat black (it still needs to be detailed). Next to be done is add the seat belts, flock the floor, paint the roll bar and some other things.

wow. awesome work. I want to buy an M3 e30 model for glueing, but unfortunatelly in Poland it seems to be unpossible ;/ Whatever...
I have ask to You - Did Your model have the engine under the hood ? Probably not, but meybe You know which companys model have it ? It will looks great when after we opened the hood, we will see the S14 engine. Especially if it will be an S14b25 engine from EVO2 ;)

and I'm sorry for my language mistakes - I will learn it,and till 2 weeks will gone by - You will understand me well - I hope :P ;]

In civil version that You made were installed only serial mirrors that we can find in every e30 models. In sport version Motorsport had installed small mirrors without this 'hole' that You had made. That mirrors are an tuning accesories only I think. Do You have any pics of an original BMW M3 racing version with mirrors which looks like this on Your model?
It is interesting - is it an producer mistake, or meybe I dont know something...
Thanks and best Regards - Lukas

I believe you are right, and this kind of mirrors are just a tuning accesory on the street version M3. My mistake

The build at this moment its on hold, since i'm not in the mood for modeling right now. At least i still have all year to finish this and other projects i have.

Damn this is old ahah as an update i can say that the body it's been under brake fluid for at least a year and i'm guessing it's useless now, so in order to finish this i'll have to buy another kit :banghead:

besides, college has taken away pretty much all my free time/life so it's hard to sit and work on a car model this days...damn industrial design :screwy:

anyway thanks for the interest and i'll promise i'll upload some pics as soon as i get anything done.
