Too Many Problems at Once! HELP!

Ok I own a 94 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9L V8 2wd... mostly my dad drives it to work. today the ABS and the Air Bag light came on while he was driving and wont shut off, even after a restart and disconnecting the battery. When this occured he found he could neither roll his power windows up or down and the fan/ a/c blower would not turn on at all. Fuses were checked and all were good. Any ideas on what could be going on that so many things went bad at once??? Don't want to take it to the dealer, they wanna charge a couple hundred to scan codes and look it over! :( any ideas would be appreciated!! thanks!

We have '00 ram 2500- similar thing was going on-ABS and air bag lights coming on and for us the gauges quit sometimes too. when this happened the odometer would read "NO BUS". this means there is no communication to the computer. unfortunetly there can be many different things to make this happen. some people said changing their speed sensors(differential and/or tranny)helped. others said their instrument cluster went bad or their "computer" went bad. For us there was a wire coming from under the hood to the "PDC" computer that was "loose". We found that out after several attempts to fix it ourselves and resorted to taking to a mech. Luckily, they only charged us $150.00 If it's intermittent then it quite possibly might be a loose wire "somewhere"-Don't know if this helped but maybe gave you some kind of insight on where to start.
