I need help quick, my 94 geo metro is driving me crazy. In the morning she won,t start, in the afternoon she,ll fire right up. Had new fuel pump and filter installed, took it to the mechanic and had a diognastic test done all he could find from that was oxygen senser was going bad but was told that would not be the problem for no start. T he mechanic had the car for a week and each time he he tried to start it she fired right up for him, was told to take car home and the next time it acted up to bring it back, well guess what I took car home and the very next morning she would turn over but wouldn,t start. can anyone help ME! by the way it is a 3 cylinder

check all your ground wires for corosion and tightness, especially the one on the rear of intake manifold. if all those look good the pull coil wire out of cap and set about 1/4" from metal part and have someone crank car while you look for spark. if you have spark then need to run fuel pressure test. if you don't have spark its probably something in the distributor

it may not be morning related, just coincidence that it has occured in morning. mine had intermitent start problem and ended up being starter. next time it doesn't start, tap the solenoid with a hammer or something, then try and start it. if this doesn't help, maybe it IS morning related, possibly pointing to morning dew getting into ignition system, like in cap and rotor. hope any of this helps..........good luck.

My old '91 did the same thing...it was moisture in the cap....I'd replace it (& the rotor, too) Not too expensive. Good Luck
