Well im hoping to attempt my evo3 16g and fmic install this weekend. I was just wondering if you guys had any tips for the 16g install. Like weather or not to remove the exhaust manifold, drain oil and coolant, etc.
Thanks in advance
Justin

Drain your oil and coolant because if you dont, it will spill out everywhere

Before you do anything, make sure you can get the bolts off your exhaust manifold...Because if you cant, then draining all that liquid wasnt very usefull and a big waste

Make sure to double, even triple check oil and coolant lines and dont boost right away, make sure theres no leaks

Pull the MPI fuse and crank the engine over a bit to much sure you prime the turbo. Most important for a new turbo. Get new factory mitsu turbo bolts. Make sure that right after you drive it with the new turbo, you check the torque on the turbo bolts.

Torque everything correctly. As for the fmic. It's not all that difficult, you should do just fine.

idle looking for leaks, drive around then look for leaks again. make your signature smaller.

No you do not have to remove the exhaust manifold. I hope you replace the stud with a bolt, so its easier to take the turbo off in the future.

You can do it without removing it, but its a pain in the ass...also, take your radiator fans off, lots more room, and def required if you don't take the mani off....when you do the piping make triple sure you clamp those damn things down...if you think you did it tight enough, tighten them down some more......when you drive the car with boost for the first time and you hear a loud boom, don't worry its probably just one of your pipes that blew off...
