Can anybody tell me what the H.O. options are?
A co-worker is looking at a 98 T.A. and the guy says its an H.O. but he doesnt know what makes it one.
Is this something like the SLP Package?
Thanks.

to my knowledge there was no H.O. on the fourth gens, that was a third gen option used on the 305 engine. i think your buddy is mistaken.

at the hazard of being completely wrong....
i believe the H.O. was an available option on the third gen 305 engines consisting of a different cam, and cold air intake, and also might have had the dual cat exhaust system.
again i pulled this out of hazy memory so i could be completely wrong, but thats the stuff in my data file.

nope, thats a crate engine with vortec heads and such, the H.O. just means High Output, so there was a engine in the cars that was the high output engine, and they just used the designation on a high output 350 in the crate engine lineup, the H.O. 350 was never offered in the cars.
