hi guys i was working on my 90`S chevy pickup and im building it as a airbages lowrider with 23" crome ts( sorry no pic`s/ no digicam)
and i was putting a photoetch MCG crusaider steering wheel togehter and i didnt have anything to make it look nice with like writhen in the instructions then i remeberd a show i saw on discovery channel and thougt hm maybe i could do this with the ring so i put the ring in cola for 2-3 hours and it came out pretty good saved me sitting and clean it by hand just thought i share in case it would help
by the way what model of year is this? is it 91?

Yeah they showed this on Mythbusters a while back. I guess soda can actually shine up your chrome and stuff, it did a pretty decent job on the bumpers of their old pick-up.

mythbusters is a show on discovery channel where they test urban myths if you have that channel you should check it out is cool watch it every day

old automotive paint used to get ruined if you poured cola over it, it used to bubble an fizz then just be ruined. cola is potent!

Yeah, there are a bunch of urban legends about Coca Cola: Army mechanics used to keep cases of it around to degrease parts, if you soak a nail/T-bone steak/something in a bowl of it, that object will disolve in a few days, etc. A tip in a 4-wheeler magazine (I think 4 Wheeler....) was a pour some on a windshield to clean the bugs off it, and to pour some in the wash to clean the grease out of clothes.
