anyone ran wires for an amp

Bought a '02 GP and trying to find the best spot to run the 12v wire through the firewall. I am having trouble finding a good spot. I usually run the wire through the driver side where the mass of wires runs through, but the battery is on the passanger side. Any advice on where I can find a boot to push through would be great. Thanks.

theres a large grommet on the passenger side floor board, probably bout 2 times the size of the drivers side

Do you need to jack the car up to get to it? I found one where it looks like the hood release or something goes. It is about half way down directly behind the engine, but I can't see it on the inside.

just pull the carpeting back on the passenger side and you'll see it
