repainting spots

hey guys well im new at this stuff as well unfortunitly im here looking to try to paint my 93 ford escort i did some damage to my bumper and i had some dents elsewhere and so i fixed it but now it needs paint so im not sure what to do? Do i need to repaint the entire car? How do i prep this stuff? Do i need special paint in order to get the glossy look? Should i just take it to a professional?
