Car Racism?

Ok, so I was sitting at a light and a police officer pulls up behind me. Okay, whatever.....So I am marrily waiting for the light to change and the officer puts his spot light on my car! I was like WTF?! He moved it around and what not, then shut it off. This made me really worried, like he was gonna bust me for some BS crap. I have been pulled over just to be messed with because of the car I drive!!! I have a 2003 Subaru WRX. It has all the basic stuff on it like exhaust (no fart can) and the like. So why must police mess with us who have cars like this ....ie, japanese "souped up" cars. Do they assume we are going to do something stupid so they can meet their quota??? Ok, i am done:)

Its because a good bit of people who drive "souped up" (like campbells chicken noodle) cars do stupid things. Think about how many times you have seen some idiot in a civic with a fart can and neons almost slam into a pole because his pencil width tires cant get any traction in the rain, or joe hotrod in his 5.0 blast through a redlight going about 90mph. By owning a car and modding it you are going to draw some attention, unless you drive a nitrous powered honda odyssey (yes ive seen one) Just keep a spotlight in your car and if it ever happens again just shine it right back. God I would love to do that if it ever happens to me.

Just be glad the cop put the spot light on you before you took off. Atleast you knew he was there before you even did anything. Not saying you would have, but hey, there was the notification that he was behind you. Some cops just do it for intimidation purposes. They like to keep you in check. But, not all cops are that way. Anyway...

Pretty nice smoke detector I suppose, is the light that bright though??

Edit: We have two 10 Million candlepower spotlights and a person can stand 50 feet away, and if you shine the beam on them they can feel the heat off it. If I stand on our roof I can wake the neighbors up by shining in their windows, not that I've done that though. Cabela's now has a 15 mil that we'll probably get soon.

The H-3 100 W/12 V ultra white bulb provides a crisp beam visible for up to 2 miles.

2.25 Million candle Power Series Spotlight.....and if I thought that was powerful, 15 million? jeeze. I'm thinking instant sunburn...

WOW, this one veared just a bit to the left! lol Anyways, yeah...Cops are kind of annoying when it comes to "keeping you in check" just because they think your stupid. I have enough common sense to think..I am driving a WRX...there is a cop behind me...OK so I am not going to launch or challenge the guy next to me to race! LOL

I think it has to do with something else. If you are male, perhaps your young. Perhaps you got another young male friend. Also has to do with the area your in, neighborhood, also the city your in. Maybe those cars get stolen alot, perhaps they just want to scare ya see what you do. Maybe the cop is bored and he doesnt have no donuts or twinkies so he is hungry. Who knows.

I think it's just wrong that they give a ticket to a Civic because it has a loud fart can, but when they pull over a 67 camaro, they just drool all over it, and let the driver off with a warning for going 150 in a 70.

they ticket the civic because he has no taste :grinno:

i highly doubt anyone gets off witha warning for going over double the speed limit

Cops are so typical to go after a brighter or more expensive car. My Dad recently got pulled over for doing a 60 in a 55 when a mini copper S blew by doing 90+!. Needless to say he got it thrown out because he got the plates on the mini and told the cop off at court.

That'll happen because 9 out of 10 times the person driving the civic is like 16-19, is blaring something along the lines of NWA "Fuck the Police", and doesn't show the cops any respect. The person in the 67 Camaro is like a 50 year old guy, is extremely respectfull to the officers, and lets the cops sit in the driver's seat/maybe even take it for a spin. Peace-

^^there is that possibility. Or he was just a jerk.

I've had cops shine their lights at me for no reason while driving the opposite direction. At least then you have a warning that you should watch your rear view, that way when they turn around you can punch it and get away.
