Got Owned..

Last night, was back on that stupid same highway that I knew I shouldnt be racing on :banghead::banghead:

Well onto the story..

So I was going around 70-80ish cruising, looking for a race when I spot this 3rd gen, early 3rdgen btw, no side skirts/body kit etc.. saw no badging like Z28/RS, all it said was Camaro, so I guessed V6 or Iron Duke I4, also I saw this Camaro where I cruise around at and wanted to race it so when I finally saw it getting on the highway you couldnt of had imagined how happy I was because man I was bored of looking for a race.

Weird thing was its a woman who was driving it, so I thought that she might not wanna race me since many never do, but when I came up to her she was like flailing her arms about doing stuff with her hands when she saw me then she started waving bye-bye and hit it without any damn warning, so I did too.. and I cought up slowly.. we stopped, went back to 60-70 and repeat after this though I was going way infront of her, knowing she would just take off without warning I kinda stepped on the gas a little more when she was comming up on me, when we got side by side we were going about 80, we both go at the same time and we were going side by side, I know it was an 8 because that thing was LOUD, I had my windows up and everything and could still hear it very nicely, well I start hitting about 100 and you know what happend...

Going about 105 when my needle just STOPS and likes to sit there because its what it does..

You guessed it, Camaro took off, just started going like I was sitting still, which I basicly was.


So I stood there like :eek:

Now I started thinking and came up that this Maro definetly had to be modded, definatly a new trans, engine, and probably rear because the body looked pretty crappy and unkept. so its up for you guys to discuss if you want to try to find out what it had.

now tell me.....when it hit the speed limiter do the rpms start flying around and my the whole car jerk? Thats what happened to me in my 89 rs when i got to 110. Scared the absolute crap out of me. Too bad about the ownege though....I got my first kinda kills with my 92 today. A early 90's impala ss and a stealth. It was from a 2 mile an hour (about) roll and we all gunned it to get to the front because the lanes were merging from 3 to 1. I won hehehehe. Its a new feeling for me.....feels good......

Nah my speed limiter says 120..or 110, cant remember but im sure its 120, but the highest i've hit is 110 cause thats were I think it just stops..

Well, at least it was another maro. The ultimate sleeper is a car that looks unkept. Rally, have u done anything to the maro yet?

damn speed limiter...thats why i took mines up to 250...wont never come close to it, but at leats the damn car wont bog down when u have reached the limit

Link, nah the Maro is still chilling, Im going to start taking the engine out and getting a new 3.1 and just bore that out like I said, be much easier since I know alot about it already.

i need 89IROC&RS to tell me more about the burning of your own chips... im highly intrested in that :) that would be sweet burning chips for your buddies at a small price... nothing high... like 10 bucks or so... if they come back another 10... if they mod their car enough you can make some money off them :)

i have a hp tuner hook up thats in my lap top. i downloaded some pre set computer set ups from other guys who did crazy work to 3.8's. there is a section where u can re-set your speed limiter so i figured why the hell not put it at 250. i know i will never get this car to go near that but at least i know ill get as much speed out of that damn thing that it has....good to the last drop, or till i blow it up lol. the main thing u need is the pc cord to hook up 2 your car and the data. im sure they have it for your car too, and u can go online and down load burns from other guys, the only thing with that is its tuned for that guys car so u may need to tweek it a bit to get better performance from your car.

Yeah, I need to tune my car up a bit.
