I own a 1990 Honda Prelude Si 2.1. My car was originally from FL and was brought to upstate ny. The car was later puchased by a woman from a honda dealership. She owned the car for 4 yrs. This car has seen 4 winters. The issue I am currently having is a starting issue. The car starts fine when first started, but if the car is driven, then shut off to go into a mini-mart or to get gas, the car won't start again. You have to sit for about 5-10 minutes and try and start the car again. Usually after that time the car starts. Also, after sitting for a few days without being driven the car does not like to be started and does not like temperature changes. Car does not like to start in hot humind weather or cold weather. We think it is a starter relay under the dash but we are not completely sure. We also know of two other cars that are doing the same thing. If anyone could help me it would be much appriciated. You are more then welcome to email me. I check my email numerous time through out the day if I can not be able to check the forum. Thanks.

The main relay (fuel pump relay) is a problem on honda's, but it's usually in hot weather.

A friend of my bf's talk to the honda dealership and the guy said it's more or less the starter relay under the dash. but i just wanted to make sure that it wasn't something other than that. Thanks for your post. We'll make sure to check it out. We've asked alot of people about this issue and no one seems to know.
