It's time to make my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 S Automatic into an offroad beast!!!

I thought I'd start by looking/asking for pics of other's to help in the design. anyone know of good links to pics, or want to post pics of their rigs, I'd appreciate your help.

I've found a few:

Mine is white, and would look a lot like this one to start once I lifted it, and put new wheels tires on it:

This is a pretty recent pic of mine:

Thanks MV!

here's one I like, it's got the Calmini 3" lift, and the accessories look a lot like I'd be going after:

Here's another calmini lifted rig:

Can anyone say what lift height this 2nd gen has? I talked with an offroad shop today, we are thinking a calmini 3" lift with 32"x11.5"R15 tires (BF Goodrich Mud Terrain). I wonder if that combo would be anywhere near the one in the pics below?

I agree, mine looks like that one, but stock.

This one below is a 3" lift - like I'm thinking about doing, I want to know, if it's 3", how much is the white one above???

Ok I'm gonna take a stab at this... I put the image of the white rodeo and yours into photoshop and put a grid over the photos. I'm assuming both were taken at approximately the same distance since both corner lamps are the same size. Assuming both of you have 15" rims, each box was ~2.85". Your rodeo has ~12" of ground clearance where as the white one has ~20". This distance is from the white part(s) under the drivers doorsill/frame to the ground. I drew a line between the bottom of the front and rear wheels.

So w/ the rough estimates, that means he has approx 8" of lift total. From looking at the pictures, I'm assuming his was taken from a higher angle than yours. Taking that into account, I think its safe to say he has 6" of lift, approx 3 sus, 3 bod.

Way to go MV! the photoshop idea was a good one, and now that I look at the pics, I can see the difference based on the lights/signals relative to the tires.

Question: How does ground clearance get measured. I found the stock ground clearance for the 2nd gen rodeo is 7.1", but I measure the lowest underbody spot closer to 5"?

Even so, if I add 32" tires and a 3" lift, I am thinking I'd gain about 4.5" more, putting me above 9.5" clearance. Does that sound about right? Will 9.5" be enough for serious offroading (excluding rock crawling)? I'm moving to the Ariziona/Flagstaff area soon, and want a truck that can handle most anything, and still get home. IOW, when they say "jeep only trail", will I make it - or should I pass (with that 3" lift and tire combo).

Thanks for the help!

I've found them on ebay, and other sites.

on ebay I search these keywords - safari cargo roof rack:
here's one hit, and mounting info included, looks like bolt on to existing cargo rack on my Rodeo.
