check engine light

recently my check engine light comes on then goes off. it will stay on for like to two and then go off for two days. the thing is that when the check engine light in on its shakes really bad whether im driving or not. i just needed information on it since the last mechanic i took it to did not and couldn fix the problem. thanks sincerly
