I found a performance shop that is in the process of making a turbo kit for aveos.
The AVEO TURBO KITS comes with:
-16G Turbo with manual Boost Controller set @ 5psi
-Tubular Exhaust Manifold
-Downpipe with Hi-Flow Cat
-Cold Air Intake with K&N style reusable Filter
-Front Mount I/C with piping
--I/C piping powder coated
Choice of:
-Grey/silver
-Blue
-Red
-Choice of HKS or Greedy BOV
-Oil feed & drain lines
-Dyno tested
-Instrutions
The cost of the kit is $3500.00. It would take $1500.00 up front and 2000.00 at time of pick up. Any questions contact me at [email protected]

I'd be more worried if the cheap little Daewoo transaxle would hold any added power.

i would be worried about the trans axle too. that would have to be beefed up a bit. does anyone know how to change the throttle settings on theses cars yet. i monitored mine one day with my auto x-ray and found out the throttle never goes past 82%. its frustrating because think about it we are gettin robbed of a lil less than 1/5 of our power. ggrrr.

on your throttel body there is a little insert that you pull out at the end of your throtel cabel and then you pul your throtel cabel so that it is fairly tight but not to tight and insert it back in its all done on a small line insert idea
if it helps its a black line that turns into just steel line and the adjuster is right before it turns steel
and its just a black metal key
about the size of a dime

i tried finding the throttle body and had no such luck. is it inside the black rounded casing on top of the motor? if it is how do u get access to it? i would love to be able to get just a lil more out of my car without expensive bolt ons.

i searched up and down my throttle body and found no little black insert or throttle cable:banghead: . is it hidden or am i blind. i cant find the black line that goes to steel or a little black metal key the size of a dime. can u tell me where abouts on the motor it is? i dont know alot about cars as u can prolly tell. is the line behind the motor on top or more towards the front? i was fiddlin with my car tonight and i was goin nuts tryin to find this thing. anymore help that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

ya it is in the back of your motor right just about dead center it is a black plastic line that runs towards your throttel body...from drivers to passangers..it will go into a bracket and after that bracket it turns into a metal line...if the car is running just move the throttel and you will see it move and the car will rev.. right before it turns into the metal line there is a clip there on a shaft that has some small groves jsut for adjusting this

are the 06 throttle bodys electronically controlled? because if they are that would explain why i cant find the throttle cable. i know what a throttle body is and where it should be and im goin nuts because i cant find it.

Can't really answer your question but I did note before I bought my 2006 that there were considerable engineering changes between 2004/5 and 2006. I would not have bought a 2004/5. The 2006 is a much better car overall and the 2007 will probably be better again.

If I am correct, the 2004/5 was basically an unchanged Daewoo car (think cheap Korean). It has taken GM a couple years to build in some better quality and engineering with 2006 being the first of the 'improved' models. I expect over the next several years this model will be more like a Cobalt/Cavalier and able to take more abuse than it can now and be much sturdier. My daughter has a Cavalier and I notice a difference driving her car after driving mine. Hers has much better quality inside and out as well as driving (in my opinion).

my gf has an 05 cavalier and i would rather take my aveo over her cavy. i cant stand that car for long trips and we actually raced on the hwy and she could not catch up to me granted mine is a stick and hers is a crap auto but none the less i couldnt beleive it cus she has a stock 2.2. that impressed me alot. i have surprised a few people with my car. alot of people underestimate the aveo. it isnt the fastest car in the world but it is alot faster than people think.

Yes, if you can keep the car in the power range of the rpms the car does quite well for its size and price. Certainly won't hold anyone back at the red light unless you want it to.

I'd suggest you have that Cavalier checked. If the Aveo is beating it, there is something wrong with the Cavalier. My 2004 Cavalier (no modifications at all) will smoke my 2006 Aveo, no problem - - and it should. But then both of my cars have had excellent maintenance and have no problems.

what i find fascinating with my aveo and i dunno if its just my aveo or all aveos but ill floor it to take off and ill be goin kinda slow then around 2000-2200 rpm my car will suddenly surge more like its been given a boost or sumtin. does anyone else notice this? also has anyone ever had troubles open there gas cap door thingy? if u have what have u done to correct this problem? damn thing wouldnt open up on me today. had to ask someone to help me pry it open while i pulled the lever.

i have also noticed this and my unprofessional advice is tha ti think it is jsut the power ban of the over head cams working to there fullist when mine dose it after 4000 rpms it make s a almost superchard sound and thats when the better power arises

yeh, my air intake makes more noise too. i found on another website on how to make ur front grill look pretty badass. if u pop off the 4 or 5 screws that hold it down and take it out, there are 5 screws on the back of ur grill. take those out and ur chevy emblem and border of the grill pop off. put the black plastic meshing back on and u get a really nice clean look to ur aveo. for kicks i mounted lights behind the mesh to add some flavor.

i came to a brick wall with my car as in i dont know what to do next with in an affordable price range and then it hit me. what does anyone think about dual ram air intakes. i thought it would be crazy at first but then i went and looked under my hood and found it entirely possible to do. any thoughts, suggestions advice, or other ideas would be appreciated if i get it done anytime soon and find it to be better ill post some pics.
