All depends on how cush do you want your ride. You can get the 24's to fit but you will have a really low profile tire, that will make it ride rougher. As for turning, if you have any rubbing, its nothing a little inner fender trimming wont fix.

Speedo and mileage issue is all dependant on how much taller or shorter the tire is than stock. There are two trains of thought on tire height. One the taller the tire the bigger the circumference and each rev of the wheel covers more ground, so in essence the better mileage you will get. You are covering more ground using the same power.

On the other hand the bigger the tire is the engine uses more power to turn it under stress, assuming you are running the 3.73 gears. If you are running 4.10's you could run up to a 35" tire and it would be like driving with factory 32's and 3.73 gears. The only time you would probably notice is going up hill and pulling heavy loads. But if you stay within one half to one inch of factory size, neither should play much of a problem.

Again if you stay within one inch or so of factory tire height your speedo shouldnt read but 1mph if the new tire is taller and 1mph if the tire is shorter. Besides you need to get a nelson tune anyway, you will love your truck all over again and Allen can adjust your speedo for the new tire size.

Im running 20's on 305/50's and it rides better is quiter and get better traction than stock.

If you have any more questions let me know

i got 22's and they are 305 somethin i forgot and i am to lazy to go to the garage and look but i just took a heat gun to the plastic liners and bent them back to stop all rubbing in the fenders.
