My '85 used to run up to 230 degrees on very hot days, in stop & go traffic.

I replaced the thermostat with a 185 degree unit and put a new fan switch in the intake sensor, but it still runs up to 220 degrees on occasion.

Out on the Highway, it will run at 185-190 degrees.

thanks for the info...with a digital gauge i couldnt tell if
it was running too hot..my first vette as you can see ...with out a regular gauge for me to see icould not tell when it was going in the red area...LOL thanks you were most helpful....
