Headliner Help

Hey whats going on? Well im gonna do a headliner i have already done two of them but both of those headliners were in good condition just cloth put over the original. I have the glue the sprayer for the glue none of that is a big deal im doing a raised design but my question is has anybuddy ever had to get that old crappy headliner material off like the foam after the fabric falls off it. If so can you help cause im about to go at it with a heat gun first then if that doesnt work try and do light sanding to get it off.

I've done it with a sanding block before and it's worked fine.
If your not careful with a heat gun or torch, you could melt the molding.
