hey everyone :) hello to all who know me to those who don't ..oh well.

Just seeing what's up on AF..haven't posted in FOREVER. I've had tons of shyte goin' on with the new job and all. I haven't even had a computer in forever cause my hardrive crashed and now I'm just getting back online. My crx is alive and well I just got in alittle trouble for driving with a suspended lisence (which i didn't even know was susp.) and exp. insurance(2nd offense). So I'm probabaly looking at like 10-30 days in jail here cause the judge here in my little town really hates me but oh well. I'm kinda scared about that but I'm probably just gonna serve it on weekends...has anyone here ever done that? Other than that whole can of worms everything is good with me I guess, the crx has new carpet and seats and afew other things that I'll post up once I get my digi cam installed again.

hi

i haven't been around much either...been busy opening the shop. it's been drama so far. like the first week we were here the shop flooded during a freak rain storm, of course we were in reno and could do nothing about it. then we had our phone lines turned on to find out both our lines were crossed with staples. they came out and fixed that just to cross us with 2 other lines at staples. from there we got mail troubles. our mail didn't come for like 2 weeks when the city called us to tell us our business license had been reutrned to them marked "insufficent address" we rent a bulding that is 1 of 4 owned by the same guy. all the other buildings have suite number's and ours is a complete different address. apparently the mailman wasn't smart enough to figure out that box#1 out of 20 in the post office box goes to 2050 not the other suite addy's.

currently we had our internet switched from home to the shop. in the process we downgraded from dsl to dial-up. the 56k wouldn't be so bad if it didn't connect at 31k....that is 31k when we are lucky. we're currently looking into satellite options.

you guys better run and hide....the law is back in town :evillol:

That's why your license is suspended, because of no insurance. Once you lapse with insurance, your license is automatically suspended. I should know, I'm in the same boat you are. I even got pulled over 2 days ago. The cop either was too lazy to go through all the paper work, or otherwise just decided to let me go (maybe my clean driving record?). I was shitting a brick the entire time, and shaking like crazy. All because my friggin' registration sticker wasn't stuck completely to my windshield.

But I've never heard of anyone doing any jail time for that (maybe a night in jail if you can't get someone to pick you up). Usually it's just a fine, they tow your car, and your license gets suspended for like 6 months. Damn I'm staying away from where you live.

Don't know where DirtyD777 lives, but here in WA, your license does not get suspended if you lapse on your insurance.

I guess I'll know what's going to happen to me on august second. I live in MT and I'm pretty sure they don't impound your car here (thank god) but they are giving me a 500 dollar fine..the susp. license and I'm pretty sure from what she said on my arraignment...jail time.:disappoin

Yeah in texas they dont suspend it for not having insurance either. Otherwise people without cars would automaticly loose there license.

i didnt know you were in Ny Spoon, im in MA. anyway, ya it doesnt make sense that if you dont have insurance you lose you license, cuz we would loose as soon as we got it... maybe if you are caught driving without insuance you lose it, which makes a lot more sense.

Yeah I'm from the burbs of Syracuse.
But here's what a letter from Progressive, when my insurance expired:
"Under the new laws, if you have any lapse of insurance coverage while your vehicle is still registered, you will be fined $8.00 for each day that you are uninsured or your registration and drivers license may be suspended or revoked."

So the only way to keep my license is to turn in my plates (aka not be able to drive my car).
