I noticed on my friends 00, their is a dipstick to check the level. Looking under the hood of my 01 2.2 I don't see a dipstick just a cap that can be unscrewd... Is their anyway to check this?

Thanks

There should be a little mini DS attached to the bottom of the cap. Either that or you need to check the level of the fluid against the recomended level shown on the fluid caseing.

nope no dipstick , just a cap to add fluid. There is a little screw on the side on the bottom of the tranny that you remove and when you add fluid when it comes out that hole, its then full.

Not always. Could be just run off the inner wall inside. I had a buddy help when i did mine. He poured, i watched the hole from when it came out and it came out like if you were draining oil backwards. LOL... then i paid 90 bucks to have it flushed instead of filled, yea that was smart thinking. O well i was only out a few bucks.
