i got my wisdom teeth pulled today. my mouth is stilla bit numb but it's not terrible. the main thing i hate is not being to eat normal stuff. mashed potatoes, jello, and pudding are getting old. after the laughing gas started to work, i didn't remember a whole lot except for bits and pieces. i laughed about it when the doctor and my mom told me the stuff i was saying so i thought i'd share:
-i pulled a dog hair(husky) off of my shirt and started saying "whoooo! i found a Niko hair. i follows me everywhere I go"
-my mom was telling the doctor about how when our other dog(dachshund) was under gas and he was walking around and stumbling, I kept interrupting saying "I love weinerdog, he looks like a hot dog. or a sausage. not a patty." and my mom said "i know he looks like a sausage" and i whined "HE IS A SAUSAGE, dont eat him"
-the doctor told me to lean forward and apparently when i did this i fell forward off the chair
i remember bits and pieces of what happened. when you guys had to breath on laughing gas, did you get all loopy and stuff too like this? my mom said i was talking like "bud" from the game "stupid invaders" lol.

out of the entire 45 minute operation, the only thing i remember is the doctor talking about Mazda Miata's for a split second. the rest is a blur.

Great, so you know you had a homosexual dentist. You sure pulling your wisdom teeth was the only thing he did? :uhoh:

To be on AF the same day you got it done you must be doing good. They had to give me so much more dope to keep me knocked out b/c i kept waking up. I slept for nearly a day and a half. I spit blood for nearly 2 weeks too. The nurse i had was fine too, it was great to see her face coming out of the trance.

All I remember is feeling the prick of the painkillers shot in my gums and I felt like my whole body was spinning around that point. It was wierd. Then I woke up on the couch at my house.

Damn, I miss all the fun, all four of my wisdom teeth grew out normal and healthy, I in a write-up in some dental journal [seriously]. It rare, as I was told for all four to grow normal and not have any negative impact on a person.
So when I say I have 4 extra teeth, dentists have discounted their fee just to look.

I was told that i was an asshole when i woke up..go figure... I snapped at the nurse and on the drive home i guess i was mumbling things that dont bear repeating...
However, last August when they put me on Morphine(once) i remember having dreams of Hobo's doing synchronized swimming. And then i had a dream also of a house floating in space, and everytime someone would open the front door a train would run them over...

I was IV sedated so wasn't awake at all while it was happening - all I remember was the needle going in my arm, then everything when black and white, then all black within about 10 seconds.
Next thing I know, I'm sitting up on a bed in the recovery room, mid-conversation with Mom. I don't know how long I'd been in there, or how long I'd been awake, or even if I walked into the room with my own feet. I was heavily stoned for about 5 hours afterwards.
Mom couldn't stop laughing at the stuff I was saying and doing - I don't even remember most of it. When the doctor came in and asked me to try to stand (to see if I was ready to leave yet), I stood up and immediately fell forward into the wall, so I had to wait around for another however-long. I can remember being reduced to very basic thoughts - such as pointing at the wall and saying "wall..." - and looking at the cover of the book Mom had with her, which was written by a woman named Hannah...I remember pointing at it and proclaiming with amazement that it was the same backwards as it was forwards...
When we finally got to leave, Mom was instructed to keep me awake for at least an hour, at which point I could eat and then go to sleep. She asked how I was going to help keep myself awake, so I slowly said "I'll count Volkswagens." Surprisingly, I only saw about 8 of them the whole trip home so it probably wasn't the best idea, but I stayed awake nonetheless.
I was one of the people who bled a whole lot all at once, then not much afterwards - I remember when I got home and walked in the door, despite the gauze, my mouth was completely full of blood, so I just stumbled to the toilet and opened my mouth - now that I think about it, had I done that somewhere on the street that could have seriously freaked some people out, seeing that much blood spewed out of my mouth :evillol:
I ended up being allergic to the codeine in the Tylenol 3 so all it did was give me a headache on top of my mouth pain, so I switch to Advil and was stoned no more :(
BTW, I ate Popsicles galore - they help numb the pain as well as being tasty :)

When they do mine in like a month and a half, the guy said they wouldn't put me to sleep, they'd just freeze my mouth, so I'm ganna have to sit there with my mouth open for an hour and I won't even be able to wake up high.

Mine didn't hurt too much, I had the IV valium, funky stuff. My brother had the same and asked the nurse if it came in 6-packs.
Worst part of mine was that I couldn't open my mouth all the way for about 2 weeks, it hurt in the area where they'd taken the lower ones out.

Ah wisdom teeth. Oddly enough I landed a date out of it all, well kinda not really sorta. The doctors assisstant was really cute. I couldn't stop smiling at her every time I looked at her. It made her giggle. Then she had to put me down before the doctor came in. She covered my face with the mask and I winked at her just before I went out. Last I saw, she smiled.
Although when I awoke, I was bumbling around like a drunk and she thought it was adorable. My dad had told me all the stupid things I had done during the whole ordeal. Including the part where I hit on her and asked for her number. In the end, I got her number. I never asked her out officially, but we still hang out to this day. It was awesome...:sunglasse

5 weeks for me :( Finally it went "BANG" and was all better :)
My teeth only hurt for about 5 days afterwards. It was never a sharp pain, more just a dull ache. Unfortunately I couldn't completely numb the pain because of the lack of effectiveness of the T3, but an Advil every 4 hours along with a few popsicles helped.

The mouth opening thing only happens to some people and not others. Basically it's just overstretched gizmos at the back of your jaw. My mouth opens less than a lot of people, and they really had to stretch it open to get one of the teeth, which had broken on the way out. I assume that's why it happened...

When I got my bottom ones pulled out the jerkoff dentist only used novicaine and I'm a really big guy (6'7" 250lbs) and he didn't believe me when I told him that he needed to give me a monster dose(know this from when I've had teeth pulled before). So he gives me the shots and goes away for like 20min, comes back and starts fucking milling at my teeth. I'm screaming and flailing around punching him in the chest. He's like "o sorry about that, I give you another shot." Then after it was all said and done it hurt so bad and the asshole only gave me 1/2 a bottle of T3's. I downed those all in the first night and called him the next day looking to get a script for more of the T3's or something stronger. The fucking guy wanted me to come down to his office and look me over before he wrote the script, I went down there and find out he expects me to pay for the visit(fucking $100!!!) flipped out on him, called him a hack in the waiting room in front of all his other paitents and then left. Still need to get the top wisdom teeth out but, I will definatly not be going back to him. I'm going somewhere where I can get nitrous and vic's. Peace-
