EGR Replacement

I just bought a 2001 Taurus Se with the Vulcan engine and 38,000 miles. The check engine light came on, so I had it tested at Auto Zone. They said it was my EGR valve, and that it was dirty or something. Is this expensive to replace? I also heard something about Ford extending the warranty for this particular problem.

its for the DPFE sensor...if the car has an extend warranty, which it might...u can get it for free...but if not...it'll cost u like $50 + labor..
