Hi Guys
For the last post in this forum, i did not get a single reply, hope atleast this time you guys will help me.
I have a 1993 Isuzu Rodeo V6 3.2L, 97K miles on it. Recently I am having excessive cranking proble, these are the things i have notices
1. When I start in the morning, it starts very very easily, crancks for a second.
2. I checked the fuel pressure in the morning, there is no pressure in the fuel injecter rail, is this normal?, no leak in the rubber fuel tubing, i have replaced some recently , whch looked detoriated.
3. When I start it in the afternoon, from my work, it crancks excessively, more than 5 Seconds.
Is this a problem due to open fuel injecter. Does the pressure goes to zero when the car is not started for a longs time(overnight).

I have a 93 with 144k on it and it has done that since it was new - it hasen't varied over the last 12 years. Employees at the dealership told me their Rodeo's did the same thing. It hasen't been a problem., but I'd be interested to hear if anybody was able to correct this.

Has anyone tried replacing the spark plugs? I don't want to waste the money if that doesn't fix it. I think it is more likely a fuel delivery problem.

The only things I know, are; fuel filter (Cheapest), Pressure sensor, or fuel pump.

I have found that if I turn the key to the spot just before it starts, then give it 2 or 3 pumps of gas, it start up fine every time. Make sure that you take your foot off the gas when starting.
