changing all outlets to battery powered 12V

2001 T & C.
I love the fact that the T and C has the 12V power outlet in the rear. The only problem is that it goes off when the switch goes off. According to the manual this can be converted over to the battery side instead of the ignition side, HOWEVER, it requires taking it to the dealer.
Has anyone coverted these over to the battery side? I bet it's just a wiring harness changeout.
thanks
Jeff

I own a 96T&C and I ordered a replacement relay (actually it is just a jumper block that replacees the relay and makes the outlets hot off the battery. It was located undeer the hood in the PDC. If memory serves it cost about $15 at the deealer. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you know what location it is in?

If you are standing in front of the vehicle it is under the hood in the PDC (Power Distribution Center) on mine it is the first relay. I had to buy the jumper block from the dealer and it had instructions on exactly which relay to remove and replace. I just stuck the old relay back in the bag and threw it in the glove box in case I ever had an issue with the jumper block. Hope that helps.

Thanks, The local dealer wants me to bring it in for the changeout. Crazy when it's just a relay. I'm planning on trying another dealer just outside of our city.
Thanks for your help.
