Hello, I have a 99 VW Beetle and I was wanting to get the windows tinted, but they were going to charge me extra because they have to take off the panneling. I figured if I could take it off I would save some coin. Is there anything I should know, anything you need to lookout for when taking these off? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If the company has to take off the door panels , Then they do not know how to tent. I tinted windows profesionally for 4 years and never did I have to remove the door panels. My wife just bought a 99 beetle last week and I did them the next day for her... No panels needed to be removed, But I will say it was one of the hardest cars ive ever had to do because of all of the bowed glass...
Good Luck !!!!!!!!

star from bottum of car door. youll see three screws. take out. top bowed door handle nicely pops off with two more bolts under neith. take out. now, panel is nicely pop off and when you get to fiber glass part of panel, pop up remembering to consider wire harnesses that are attached.unplug harnesses nicely and take handle cable off by poping out connection and unhook. dont be intimidated, very easy, just take your time.
