I already have an aftermarket cd player put in, but I need to replace my speakers. I got on crutchfield and it said that 6-1/2" would fit just fine in the front, but I got in the car and looked and the grill is like... very small and not shaped like that. On the crutchfield website it says i shouldn't have to take the inside door covering apart to get to the speaker... but its seems like i'm gonna have to. Has anyone experienced this before and can explain if crutchfield just dosn't know what they are talking about and that size speaker won't fit, or will I just have to take the door apart?

The proper speaker size for the front doors is 6 1/2 inch. You will have to take the doos ass. apart to replace the speaker. Go to best buy, and get yourself some speaker harnesses so you don't have to cut the wires or guess which one is positive or negative. They are NOT markes on the speaker, nor by wire colors. Get a haynes manual, and it details how to remove the door skirt, at access the speaker. Once you have the door apart it';s very simple. Just take the door apart CAREFULLY as there are fragile clips!!

ha ha, thanks... yeah... me and a friend figured it out. The backs are nice and easy, but like you said they the wires are no labeled, but we got it right first try so we just wired the rest of them the same. And yeah, the front doors aren't too bad, just pull a few screws out, then just yank a bit, lol.
