i cant say if they are expensive, i'm 50 and my wife is 43 and we run it just in the no snow months. with only what we need to keep it on the road, but it only costs us another 50 bucks a year, but we olso have three or four other vehicles on the road year round. '
also the fiero did get a five star frontal crash rateing when it was built.

I don't know about the 4 banger fiero's,.....as I recall mine wasnt all that expensive to insure....but heres a strange thing. My Fiero is a 6 cylinder, but was originally the 4 cyl 2.5litre. I dunno if my insurance company knows that a modification was ever performed on the car, but I pay $1,350 every six months for basic coverage. I'm 17 in Missouri, if that helps any. Part of that price may also be my Suburban, but I think its only an extra 100 every six mos, so just figure on around a thousand bucks. The cheapest insurance I've found on my Fiero's (or any of my other 45 cars and trucks) is Progressive, or Allstate. The best insurance you can get is through Shelter Mutual (but you have to be 18) and its known all over as being the best coverage and rate plan you can get, as the older you get your insurance gets cheaper, as well as when u add more vehicles. I had shelter until a wreck nearly killed me, and they cancelled my policy because I had neglected to tell them that I no longer lived with my grandparents, who were the actual policy holders. I feel stupid. :loser: :iceslolan

Good luck on your insurance search!

BTW, if you are asking the insurance question because U don't know if it'll be worth buying if the insurance is high, I'll let you know a Fiero is a costly, but good investment. They will always resell at a decent value, for the sheer fact that they are rather rare with the rear engine and all. Collectors love them. Always consider the resale and collectable value before buying. Also, the 4cylinder ones are better than 6's, less chance of fire (6's had a strange defect of catching fire for no reason), and MUCH better gas mileage. TTYL.
