replacing head gaskets and everything else from there up. I am looking for input on what company makes the best gaskets for the 2.8 engine.
and if anyone has found any good deals any place online for complete sets.
Please, i have rebuilt a lot of engine in my life, but this is the first problematic bi-metal engine that i have owned and just looking for input on what works the best on these engines. (89 2.8) thanks

you've probably already tackled your head job, but if not,
FelPro's blue Print-o-Seal is some of the best, but do not come in the master rebuild gasket set...
as far as purchase, depending; do a search for EPW (Engine Performance Warehouse), and if you live in a big enough city, and lucky enough to have one, they will sell over the counter retail...
if not; find a SEMA backed parts shop that could order for you.
FelPro has engine sets number schemes such as:
#MS 2600
#HS 2600 PT-1/4
#KS 2600
#CS 2600
Master Sets have everything for engine long block rebuild and cost more than the KS's
Head Sets have just head gasket up
KS are master installer and have ALL gaskets for that TYPE of engine,
so same as the MS, but usually less expensive with left over gaskets
and the Cam Sets are for a cam swap
I do not know if Victor-Reinz breaks their sets down like this, but also a good gasket company, and can be found through GPI (Gauranteed Parts Inc.) or CarQuest
hope this helps,
