Locked key !

I was unable to remove the key out of my 1999 GP ignition, and then I read here about the release button. Since then I have been using it.
There is one thing that I will recommend: if you decide to lock the release button by using a tape, a bolt or anything else (as suggested by some of our friends in some forums), at least make sure that you always switch to "Park” before attempting to remove the key. That will help you avoid accidents.
Remember that when the release button is activated the key can be removed regardless of which speed is selected.
For the safety reason mentioned above I have decided to just remove the cap on the release button hole, but I will not lock the release button. I have a small piece of plastic handy…
If any one thinks that there is no reason for concern please let me know… I am a novice in mechanics.

you need to replace the brake interlock switch so your key removes properly.
