well i have a few questions. for an exhaust what size would work the best 2.5 or 3? and on the intake side does the size of the pipe really matter as far as how it fits on the turbo?

3 if you planning on upgrading the turbo anywhere in the near future.

another thing that i forgot, how much difference is there between a t28 and a 14b as far as boost levels?

Don;t think in terms of boost levels, think in terms of airflow. Boost = heat, airflow = power. That being said, a T25 maxes out between 22-55 lbs/min, and a 14b is good to a solid 30 lbs/min. Of equal importance is the upgrade in turbine wheel/housing size, which reduces intake to exhaust manifold pressure ratios (increases VE for more airflow at same boost level). Ultimately the T25 will only hold about 13 psi to redline, while a 14b will hold 23-25 psi. The 14b is the better turbo for all these reasons and more.
I would go straight to the 3" exhaust to avoid having to upgrade twice. Be prepared to deal with boost creep with a 14b. A larger smooth intake will increase aiflow at the same boost since it will lower the pressure ratio. On a 14b, my home depot 3" ABS intake was worth ~50 Hz IIRC. Hard to translate that into power or performance numbers, but it was a clear improvement none the less...

Wow, I wish my old t25 would have done 55lbs/min. :p
Kevin ment 22 - 25lbs/min.
