F 150 wrist pin noise

Help!
I am fixing up a 1987 Ford F 150 pick up truck and I have changed the value lifters and I still get a clacking noise once the engine warms up. This is very annoying and have run out of ideas on how to fix the problem. Somebody even told me it was the fuel pump. I don't believe that it is I think it might be the wrist pin. Is there anybody out there that has had the same problem and if so do you know how to fix it?
