Sunroof will not go down?

ok here is the deal. 1999 cougar 2.5L
The sunroof will not go down automatically. I had to take the whole thing apart so I could get it down. Has anybody had this problem before. I am sure so. I know that the sunroof is a problem on these beasts. but Just wonder if anyone has had this problem and how they fixed it. Like where did you get the parts from and so on. Thanks
