SS/SC Vs. 98+Prelude

So my two buddies and I took a little trip to Tuscon to meet up with a couple girls that we know. While coming back to our hotel room from another hooka bar (I dunno what it is with hooka bars and getting races) we caught the attention of a clean looking, white Prelude. It had at least an exhaust of some sort and most likely a CAI, but I can't be sure about the CAI.
We made a right hand turn which caused him to jump a couple lanes over in our pursuit. He was about 4 cars back when I saw his car jump from him downshifting. I left it in third although out of my powerband and just mashed it which wasnt enough to stop his gain so he zipped passed us. After whipping by us he nailed the brakes and we caught up to him shortly, but this time I was ready and had it dropped in 2nd gear.
At about 30 mph we both went WOT and I jumped ahead putting his front at my rear. I pretty much held that steady lead up to about 80 or so then shut it down. We did one more run just like that which ended up with me a car or so ahead.
He wanted another run but I didnt have time cause our turn was coming up, so he got behind us to make his turn as well. I stuck my arm out my window and gave him a thumbs up and he returned the gesture with a couple beeps from his horn and a flick or two from his lights. This was followed bye my friend Liz who was in the passenger's seat saying "Awww...how sweet." My buddies and I got a good laugh out of that. :iceslolan
Overall I was pretty surprised that I pulled on him with 4 ppl in my car verse his only having 1. At the time I had my two buddies and one of the girls in with me. She actually got a pretty good kick out of it as opposed to yelling at me when I venture 5mph over the speed limit like my other female friend does. :screwy:
Fun times in a funny place called Tuscon...

Good kill. The newer preludes were too heavy IMO. I prefer the older ones for that reason.

Heh, actually the Camaro was still ready to go for a good while. I just wanted to change around the outdated turbo setup it had :P
Besides, the Cobalt has 2k on the odo as of yesterday. I've heard of guys beating up on their new SS/SC's much earlier and harder than myself.
As for all my street racing adventures in the last week...I blame it on the wing. It says one of two things to two different types of ppl. The first would be "Race me," the second would be "Ticket me." HAHA.
Track times are posted in the non-specific forum TypeS. ;)
