Need wheels...

I have been looking around for some wheels for my car. Does anyone know where in AUS I can get some quality rims at a reasonable price?

Bloody yanks get the choice of Spoon, Mugen, Volk, Rota's. I am interested in the Rota Slipstreams (Spoon copy). They are made in Taiwan and exported to the US. Surely there is a more direct way to get them in AUS than by importing from the US. The blooddy wheels are getting a round the world trip.

Anyone help?

Quyen will prolly know, but she's away for a few days. There were a set of 14 inch mugen wheels on the Honda Car Clubs boards as I recollect - might be worth a look maybe? ;)

Yeah I've been and talked to speedy. There wheels are reasonably light (13.2 lbs) but would be over a thousand for a set. I suppose that's not bad.

I'm looking into MX5 rims that vary between 10 and 12 lbs and are 14's which means that I don't have to pay for new tyres :)

I'm putting the word out now to see if I can get a set.

There's a set of Rally Sparco 16s with tyres for 650 on the HCC site. Just thought I'd mention it ;)

I like the mugen wheels if they are the lattice style. I might pick them up as they look great on 4G Civics (and can't be worse to keep clean than the damn white ones I have on now :D )

If you want to check out those rims, go to performance forums, search under MUGEN and there about half way down the page. Being sold by KIT.

Let me just reinterate(spelling) YYYYYUUUUUUUKKKKKKKK

Hey there.... back now.

you can try tempe tyres....their website is crap...but they do good packages, and have a big showroom.

also australia's best at lakemba. their site is www.tyres.com and they have plenty to choose from, and you can email them for quotes.

Plus there is Ozzy Tyres. I know the manager of the Hoxton Park branch....he is a really nice guy, and generally I find you may be able to get a few hundred dollars off the price here, than other places....and they can usually order in what you want.

I got my rims at Croydon Auto Sports. If you want Japanese stuff, this is the place to enquire....although because its jap and imported, may be a bit pricer.

Otherwise check out the car mags... I know there is a place at silverwater that has been open the last year or so... new look wheels or something...don't know if they are any good, and also there is inlook wheels at moorebank as well.

I'd check the main ones I mention first though, and don't forget to check the trading post for bargains. I'll be in the same boat later on, when I look for rims for the city turbo.

Hmm... not the mugens I was thinking of. The ones I like are a lattice, you're right, they're ugly. I sure as hell wouldn't pay the asking price for them.

Actually Setanta I don't think YUK really covers those rims. I've seen the ones your talking about and they look

hmmm... the mugens I wanted to show were on the FF site... but they are revamping it. If anyone has a pic of the Black 4G hybrid there can you post it up?
