Having problems with the turn signal swtichh on a 99 lumina.
When you go to turn it on for a right turn, sometimes it will make a fast blinker noise, and no light on dash. But if you give a light tap up, the light comes on and the blanker goes to normal speed.
All the exterior turn bulbs are good.
Is the turn signal switch hard to replace?
Thanks
Paul

Not hard, no, but perhaps intimidating because of the airbag precautions. You'll need to rent/buy a lock plate compressor as well, and a wheel puller if you don't have one. Its pretty easy, and I think someone on the forum jerry'd up a compressor from some bolts, but just keep in mind that you have to keep the SIR coil lined up with the steering shaft (aka don't turn the wheel when the wheel is off, not too easy to do anyhow).
There's a number of threads on here that describe different ways to replace, and as of right now I'm pretty sore from surgery. I'll type out what I know in a day or so when I'm feeling a bit more computer-abled.
