bolt stuck on shock piston rod

Yeah theres a little burr in the thread so i cant turn the bolt to tighten it down. the shocks are adjustable so they dont have allen bolt hole on the top, rather a flat surface on the threads. but the bolt is stuck right on that flat part so i have no way of tightening it.....i dont know what to do

clean up the threads.

i just had to do some improvisiing and clamp the piston rod with some pliers over a rubber pad.

smart move using the rubber pad, otherwise you could have damaged the rod resulting in a leak.
