Repairs on my car (again!)

Well my clutch blew out in my car about 3 weeks ago (again...) and I spoke with Mike (the guy here in Des Moines that is the best mechanic in the midwest for 3/s cars) and it appears it was the shop installing my RPS clutch incorrectly, and causing it to fail after about 3k miles on the clutch. This is what I'm doing to my car now:

I'm having him re-install a new clutch, do the seals in my tranny, and get solid motor mounts in my car, and parts/labor will be the same amount as what the shop would have charged parts/labor to redo my clutch, however they would just install it incorrectly again, so he's going to do it, and I get all this extra stuff done to my car again, which means it will finally be in good shape, and the expensive repairs for my car will be over.

I'll finally be able to mod my car next year because my car will be running strong.

Damn, I cannot believe the bad luck you've had with your car recently....that sucks!!! Sorry to hear about it...again... :(

So does your opinion about 6-puck clutches in a stock car still stand? or did yours blow because of installation error?

:1: ya, Gateway, are you gonna stick with another 6-puck clutch or switch to a full face?

i'm actually just gonna go back to oem clutch, cuz my pressure plate is ok, and i can get a brand new oem face for $80.

my opinion on 6 pucks is definitely not the same anymore, however unless you are 500+ AWHP then it's not worth it anyways, just get the full face and you'll be fine.
