fmic problems:(

Just finished installing this used fmic but ran into some issues with the piping. I tried to makshift some airconditioning piping I bought at autozone that I was told would suffice but lol guess not. I reved her up and she purred like a kitten with this new addition but once I pulled out of the neighborhood and gave it a tiny bit of gas all of a sudden I hear *kaboom* and the engine shuts off. Well turns out one of the pips exploded. So i taped it up and drove home slowly so tmrw Im thinking about hittin up the local muffler shop to bend me some pipes. But what do ya'll think, it was only $91!

P.S. I just received my insurance check from my accident and now have $3k :iceslolan and was curious if I will be able to run a small 16g on low psi without fuel upgrades.

Youll have no problem running a small 16g. I ran mine with stock fuel systems for awhile at 15-16 pounds no problem. Its a good turbo and you can run that boost safely.

friend of mine is running a evo16g with no supporting mods at 16psi with no fuel cut.

okay so even more of a twist to the story :banghead: I went to a machine shop this morning to buy some piping he had made to fit my car but once I got home one of the pipes was 2" too long. So on my way back to the shop(with my smic on) somehow something become dislodged and the smic popped off and I ran over it and so did the truck behind me :eek7: So I had to get her towed to a local import shop where they are fixing the piping for me. grrrrrr!!!

Hahah... that's one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Then again, I do feel for your losses. Maybe the front mount's just meant to be!

All I can say, is HOLY CRAP!!! It pulls like a Mo Fo. None of this t25, die at 5k crap.

It's balls to the wall till you hit redline!!
