I got my license 1 year and 13 days ago, and I just got pulled over today for the first time... for a burned out brake light. :/

Could've been worse ;) Get a fix-it ticket or a fine?
Check your lights often and always carry spare bulbs!

I'd had my license for about a year when I first got pulled over. It's kinda a funny story. I was taking my grandma to the doctor and a plastic trim piece fell off of my old 91 VW Jetta. A state trooper gave me a $105 ticket for unsafe equipment.

Yeah fix-it ticket. You fix it, take it to the court or whomever. They check it, you pay $30 for wasting their time. Even if you didn't, it isn't a moving violation, so there wouldn't be any points involved anyway...just a steeper fine.
