We need more info on how to fix your "running too rich" problem. Are you useing maft to fine tune your engine or are you just using it to vent an aftermarket bov to the atmosphere? Please provide us with your:
Car model/year/transmission/list of mods.

you have a 2900 clutch kit on a second gen 7 bolt turbo which is almost completly stock? Crankwalk is coming for you. I would look on dsmtuners.com or search some old talon digest archives, they should have some articles. LA is near roadraceengineering.com's shop and they are the best dsm tuners in california, contact them they can probably help. But I would take the 2900 off asap and replace it with your stock clutch, no need whatsoever to put such a beastly clutch on a basically stock car...

The running rich issue, as you said, has to do with the MAFt tuning. Also, as someone else said, you're in LA, so no whining about not finding speed shops :) RRE could do it for a price. The benefit of RRE, rather than a random speed shop, is that they specialize in DSMs. Good times.
I'm not sure why with those mods you're running MAFt. It allows you to vent, which is fun, but the stock 2g MAF does fine until higher airflow comes along. The only reason I can think of is to vent. Either tune it yourself, get it tuned, or take it off.
If you're running smoke with it off, it's likely you have another problem. Try and describe the smoke. When's the last time the car had a general tune-up?
