Side marker install (pics 56k)

ok I seen some people ask how to do this, well here you go.

Here is the car that i am working on (project)

I measured mine 3 inches from the door and 4 inches from the trim.

Now, next I drill holes so it will make it easy er to get the cutter in.

Don't mind the sloppy cuts. The bit was getting bad. Now you can kinda see that the one end it flat not oval, that is because if you use these markers they have a little lip that locks it into place.

Next I hook it up to the front blinkers. 2 reasons, A: there is 2 wires you can just hook both up and B: they will only come on when the blinker is on.

Looks good, however I assume your going to clean things up like the bit of metal hanging out the bottom. LOL j/k

LOL that's not a bit of metal thats a slip of the cuter bit. The hole car is getting painted.

Not bad. Mine come on with the lights, but they're clear to match my clear corners. I was going to hook them up to the front signals but I didn't want to cut something that was already uncut so I just used the previously cut wires on the back corner signal wires...

#1 those are the wrong side markers. those look to be for a EG.

#2 you suck at using a dremmel, no offence LOL

#3 you didnt even put them in the correct spot and in my opinion they look like ass.

I did this just to help somepeople out they may be a little scared about cutting into there finder. (never asked for your info)

why would you get them for a teg? they dont look right at all. and without me saying you were wrong someone might use your measurements and then find out that they are in the wrong spot.

IMO, it doesn't matter what car they came from unless you're going for JDM exact replica (which really don't mean shit)... Mine are probably from a VW but I think they look good... probably cuz they're in the correct place.... heehee...

Hybrid, your car is tight... you should paint the roof green to match the rest.

Well i got them for my teg, but then i bought the crx and put the teg on the burner. That is why i used them.

As for the measurements, I really don't see how that matters as long as they are the same on both sides.

good tutorial nothing the less tho! i agree tho im picky too and i got a set of markers here from password and the measurements shown in Hybrids's pics are def correct. but it's all in taste and where ppl want to put um. whoever see's this will decide w.e measurements floats they boat :grinyes:
