I have a '93 Metro 1 L 3 cyl car.
I can't find the fuel filter in my Chilton Manual !
Does this car have a fuel filter?
If so - where is it?
Hard to change?

Sorry ! Found it in the manual...
These Chilton Manuals leave a lot to be desired.
Nothing in the Index or Table of contents about fuel filters!
Found it in the front in the section on Gen Info & Maint.
Sorry....

Wow! I guess I have to retract my last reply to my own post....
I cannot find the fuel filter in the car! The Chilton manual says
it is in the Engine Compartment with a carbureted engine as mine is.
Simple 3 cylinder 1 L engine....
Nope - cannot find that sucker!
How big is it? Where the *&$($# is it!?

My haynes manual says on a carburetor equiped 3 cyl. that it is located on the fire wall below the brake master cylinder. If fuel injected under rear of car left front corner of gas tank becareful either way. Good luck

if it is a 93 it is NOT carbureted! It has throttle body injection or TBI .The fuel filter is in front of the drivers side rear wheel on the inside of the rocker area. it is held in by a couple of bolts that tend to break if the car has been in the snow a lot. The easiest way to do the job is to pinch the fuel hoses with vise grips or clamps and then remove the bracket holding the filter.

That sure looks like a carburetor sitting there on the lefthand
side behind the engine in the compartment !!!
I don't see any injectors behind each cylinder....
Where did you hear that '93's were never carbureted ?

It looks like a carb, but it is acctually a throttle body injection unit. It sets where the carb would sit but it has an electronic injector setting on top. Unless your car came from Canada or some where emission standards are not as high.
