Possibly buying a new prelude

Hey, I know pretty much next to nothing about preludes, and I'm having a hard time finding specs on them through google, so I was wondering if you guys could maybe answer some of my questions because I possibly could buy one, but I want to know more about them first before I go getting into one.
First off, the one I'm looking at is supposedly a 99, but for some reason I can't find ANYTHING on them as far as specs go, so I was wondering what the deal with that was.
Second, there's two models right? Base and SI, or am I wrong? What's the difference between the two? (any physical difference that you could see on the outside?)
Other than that, any other general information about the car would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot in advance.

92-96 the models are S, Si, and VTEC. 97-01 the models are Non-SH and SH. SH has VTEC and ATTS (Active Torque Transfer System). I think SH stands for Super Handling but i'm not sure, thats what i was told though. you can go to absoluteprelude.com and read up on preludes

Are they both VTEC? Because this one said it had vtec, although I haven't had a chance to look at the engine yet.

Check out this link, you can compare the specs from any 92-96 models, might help you a little.

All 5th generation Preludes (97-01) have the DOHC/VTEC H22. Doesn't matter if it's an SH or not, they all have H22's. I think '99 put out 200hp.

200??!?!! Wow that seems pretty high compared to it's previous models? I thought the older ones were only around 135 or something like that..

The 4th gen S model had 135 hp. The Si had 160, and the VTEC had 190. The 97-98 H22s had 195 and the 99-01 had 200.

The prelude has a good reputation because its a honda and it has many mods that can give it even more than 200hp. Its a good choice!

Well I wouldn't say it has a good reputation because its a Honda. When non-honda owners think Honda they think ricers, because of the stupid fast and the furious series. On the other hand, when those same people here Honda they might also think reliable. But I also agree that it IS a good choice.
