I have a 92 3000gt SL with the bomex kit on it. when i baught the car it had those little chrome fender flares on it. The car is going to be repainted to black but before i paint it, i was thinking about molding those fender flares into the car. ive asked around and some people say i should use bondo to blend it into the car. wanted to know if you guys had any ideas what i should do ?

so why is bondo body filler a bad thing?

I personally would do it with fiberglass, but lots of people do it with bondo. Also if they are just paint chips dont fill them. You will be sanding the whole car anyways, So just sand them smooth. If they are dents and not just chips then yes, use a little bondo and sand till its smooth with the car.

It's a 3/S... do it right. Fiberglass.

whatever guys. bondo is probably much cheaper than fiberglass, so go right ahead. heck! until i crashed my car into a tree, i didn't know my whole left rear quarter had bondo on it! only after the damage was done could i see the bondo breaking, but it was still very hard to break off.

bondo works great, go for it.
